Draft Recap

After flippping sacred small dip containers, Colin "c-note" McCloskey ended up with the number 1 overall selection for the inaugural La Liga draft. Without hesistation, McCloskey selected rivals.com consensus 5 star prospect Noah "Admiral" Nelson. Nelson brings a complete basketball game, a charming smile that just makes the hoes go crazy, and a ravishing wardrobe every time he laces up. With the second overall selection, captain Everett "The Champ aka The Small Package" Spencer took Zach "Ziggy" Desprez. Bringing extensive knowledge from off-court coaching experience, Desprez is expected to bring a strong presense of leadership and intensity to his team. Adam "Black Pubes" Kingston snaked Jake "The Snake" Mickley and Evan "Tightstack" Whitenack with the 3rd and 4th overall selections. Mickley, although known for his past substance abuse against La Liga policy, brings a "high" engery to the offensive boards leading to a league leading 300 stella attempts.

Whitenack, mirroring the player who's jersey he wears to each game, Travis Walton, brings an intense energy on the defensive side of the ball but also has the ability to take over a game on offense. In a 2 for 1 butterfinger-esque steal, GM Spencer selected Greg "Dont call me Chris" King with the 5th overall pick. "I was shocked." said Spencer in regards to the availiblity of King, "to have a player with such upside fall into our lap we were excited to make this pick." On the next turn, McCloskey selected big men Calvin "He's Bad" Harris and Nic "Kickflip" Taggie. Both players are expected to create crucial mismatches in the post against undersized foes. Harris, a native of Ypsilanti brings a gritty attitude on the defensive side while Taggie brings unique finese to the offensive attack. In what analysts are claiming as the steal of the draft, Spencer selected Joe "The Magic Man" Robele with the 8th pick. "This was a steal," said Spencer. Robele brings unfathomable heart, surprising athleticism, and a level of IQ seen only in the honors college. Finally, last but certainly not least, Kingston drafted Nathan "John Stockton lookin boy" Parker. Known more for his domination in the classroom and comedic antics, Parker has undeniable work ethic, elite speed, and uncomprehensible spirit.

Colin "SYL" McCloskey-A man among boys. Colin is known for his quiet, delightful personality but his game is 180 opposite of that to his opponents.

Everett "Small Dip" Spencer-Baller extraordinaire.The Fortune 500 owner of Babbitt Hoops has plenty of GM experience. La Liga will be a more difficult challenge compared to MSU's intramural program, but if any one can make the jump its Everett.
